We will not wait to be employed before we can start monitoring our very own flagship #Free_Quality_Education initiative of the #Brand_New_Direction.

This morning I was on a fact finding tour in Schools around the Western Urban and Rural District. The motive was as a citizen journalist, to monitor the distribution of the #Free_Quality_Education Teaching and learning materials, including Lesson Plan Manuals known as LPM for English and Mathematics, plus two other cores - Integrated Science and Social Studies. In addition to these, dozens of 120 pages ledger sized exercise books being dished out.

I can authoritatively state that these materials are reaching out to their target beneficiaries.

During my visit to some of the community and mission schools either entirely owned or assisted by the government, I was oppoturned to be literally involved in dishing out these learning materials to pupils in a certain school in Kamara Town, Upper Wellington in the far East of Freetown.

After the distribution, I was able to speak with few parents in that community. One of the parents (name withheld) registered her  great satisfaction towards the #Free_Quality_Education initiative. In commending the president, the Rtd. Brig. Dr. Julius Maada Bio, she had this to say, 'we, as community are so happy for president Bio for such timely and needful assistance from him'. She went further with this prayer, 'may he achieve his goals in transforming this country into at least a middle level income nation through his human capacity building drive'.

Meanwhile, I visited many other communities where I witnessed the successful distribution of those materials. I am exceedingly happy that my leader, the president of the Republic of Sierra Leone is delivering on his campaign promises.

LOVE THE PEOPLE THAT YOU SERVE!

(pupils at the Minah Academy Primary Sch. posing with Mr. Mustapha )

Loving those you serve brings joy and peace of mind. Listening to their stories (unstructured though), relieves me.

One of these kids (photo above), said to me, would you be my friend? I looked at him with love and compassion and then responded with a request. 'Kenie Moi, as he's called, would you have a snapshot with me?' As you may guess, his answer was yes.

There's no noble calling than being called into the service of humanity. I love these kids and love serving them.
